DARTS: THE Ox-Fford stay on top of the Macclesfield Men's 501 Darts League after winning 5-2 at Broken Cross.

Dave Nelson, Paul Shepley, and Lee Davidson (with a 16 dart leg and a maximum) won their singles for the Ox-Fford, with Gary Woolley also hitting a maximum.

Billy Turner and Sid Capper were singles winners for Broken Cross.

Shepley and Neil Jones, followed by Woolley and Nelson, won both pairs for the Ox-Fford, despite Capper and Steve Hitchener hitting a 19 dart leg of 701.

The Prince Albert are still seven points adrift of the Ox-Fford after the visit of the Wharf.

Mick Haynes, Steve Clarke, and Steve Kimpton were singles winners for the Albert.

Pete Warren (with legs of 19 and 23 darts) and Paul Barnett won for the Wharf.

Pete Warren and Rob Mitchell-Hill took the first pairs for the Wharf, before Steve Kimpton and Howard Maddocks wrapped things up for the Albert to make the final score 4-3.

The Nags Head are only five points off second place, after the visit of the Cock Inn A.

Martin Perry, Lee Banks, Gavin Finlow and Steve Helsby won their singles for the Nags. Paul Orme won for the Cock.

Gordon Muirhead and Jeff Perry, followed by Rob Roberts and John Livesey, triumphed in the pairs matches to complete a 6-1 victory.

The Cock Inn B entertained the Franklin this week, but lost 2-5.

Mark Whitehurst and James Simpson won their singles matches for the Cock.

Pete Smith, Kevin Skerritt and Geoff Wood came out on top for the Franklin.

Geoff Wood and Mick Birtles, followed by Andy Whitmore and Kevin Skerritt, won both pairs matches to give the Franklin victory.
