Hockey Wilmslow Ladies travelled to Whitchurch determined to continue their winning streak.
However, car trouble saw five members of the Wilmslow defence stranded on the M56, forcing Wilmslow to start with only seven players.
The seven on duty held out for a full 15 minutes before their defence arrived and kept the score at 0-0.
Shortly after Wilmslow had their full complement, a penalty corner saw Sarah Dymond duly convert to put them in front.
Wilmslow continued to shine and Ali Davies and Pippa Forsythe made it 3-0 to the visitors at the break. In the second half Jess Finney netted number four and Davies’ second made the final score 5-0.
