Giant Wilmslow heavyweight Tyson Fury gets his first outing of 2012 on Saturday when he takes on Martin Rogan for the Irish title – and boxing fans everywhere will be anticipating another evening of high drama.

And top Manchester coach Joe Gallagher says he can’t wait to see 6ft 9in Fury back in the ring, simply for the entertainment he provides.

"He might not be the finished article, but he is pure theatre," he maintained.

"How impressive does his British and Commonwealth title victory over Dereck Chisora look nearly a year on?

"Fury dominated ‘Del Boy’, who went on to give Vitali Klitschko one of his toughest fights in years."

While Chisora prepares for life as a boxing outcast following his much publicised brawl with former world champion David Haye, Gallagher insists that Fury’s glory years are still ahead of him.

He added: "That Fury was such a convincing winner against him spoke volumes of what he can go on to achieve.

"That’s why so many fight fans were disappointed to see him vacate his British title when another thrilling domestic showdown was on the cards with David Price.

"Fury-Price is bigger than just a British title fight.

Down the road I can see the pair challenging for world titles and massive pay days."
