Wilmslow Gymnastics Club’s youngsters were once again among the medals as they competed in Stockport School of Gymnastics’ Frank Williams Competition.

The youngest members were in the girls aged six event with Evie Berry winning golds on the floor and vault, as well as finishing first overall.

Clara Nichol also won gold on the floor and was third overall.

The girls aged seven event saw Lydia Starling win gold on the floor and bronze on the vault, while finishing first overall.

Milly Hall won gold on the vault, Abby Regan won silver on the floor and was third overall, Abigail Yates finished fourth and Heather Fitton fifth.

The girls aged eight competition ended with Tilly Greenbank winning silver on the floor, bronze on the vault and second overall.

Team-mates Lara Gilmour, Heather Nichol, Erin Slack and Nicole Reeves produced excellent performances.

Jessica Simcock was silver on the vault in the girls aged nine section, while team-mates Keira Hodgson, Georgina Boyle, Sara Sherwood and Tiana Hira treated the crowd to a wonderful performance on the floor.

As for the girls aged 10 event, Annie Bracken won gold on the floor and was second overall, Sophie Wheeler was third overall, while Emilia Monks was fourth and Amelie McKay fifth.

Colleagues Katrin Haraldsdottir, Gracie O’Donnell, Tanya King and Lucy Scott also gave excellent performances.

Grace Mather won floor gold and was first overall in the girls aged 11 category, while in the girls aged 13 event, Chloe Kirkland won floor gold, vault bronze and was second overall – team-mate Amelia Gent won floor silver and just missed out on overall bronze.

The girls aged 14 and over event ended with Megan Perry winning floor gold and vault bronze to finish in first place overall.

Mia Hanlon won floor silver and Daisy Johnston was third overall.

As for the boys aged nine and 10 section, Zach Dutton took floor silver, vault bronze and was second overall.

Max Nightingale won vault silver and was third overall, while Harry Brown narrowly missed out on overall bronze.
