Andy Halls has been recalled by the England C team for their match against Estonia’s Under-23s.

Team manager Paul Fairclough has announced a 29-man squad, including Halls (above left), for the International Challenge Trophy Group A fixture, which takes place at Halifax’s Shay Stadium on November 18.

The Macc Town right-back made his England C debut last month in a 2-0 defeat to Turkey in Istanbul, a match which saw the England side finish the game with 10 men.

Fairclough has selected a 29-man group for the Estonia game, due to the possibility of FA Cup first round replays which are scheduled for the same week.

It’s the final game of this season’s ICT campaign and Halls, 22, is joined in the squad by former Macc striker Connor Jennings.

Meanwhile, Luke Waterfall’s return to parent club Scunthorpe United proved short-lived as he’s gone back out on loan for another month, to Mansfield Town.

With two goals in his 17 appearances for John Askey’s side 24-year-old Waterfall made a big impression and Stags boss Paul Cox said: “He’s mentally strong, physically imposing in both boxes and he scores the odd goal from set-pieces.

“I’ve seen Luke for a number of years and if I’m honest, it was me who recommended him to Macclesfield, when I spoke to their manager.

“I’ve kept in touch, had him watched and he’s been magnificent for them.”
