Bollington's unbeaten run continued in a rain-affected draw at home against secondplaced Sale.

The visitors batted first. Despite the saturated outfield, the wicket was a good one and overseas player Andrew Michael helped himself to a good half century, well supported by Ian Dixon’s unbeaten 84 as Sale closed on 243 for 5 from their reduced allocation of 48 overs.

Aldo Palazzo was the pick of the Bolly bowlers claiming 3-58 and was backed up by Mo Ali 2-55. In reply Bolly lost 11 overs of their innings due to rain which meant the chances of claiming victory were unlikely, so batting bonus points were the main target.

Calum Rowe continued his good form with a fine 67 and he was well supported by Matt Dawson’s unbeaten 41 as the home side finished on 144 for 5 to claim eight points to Sale’s 15.

ONLY 30 overs of play was possible at Grove, pictured, where Cheadle Hulme reached 106-3 against Poynton.
