Bollington 105, Poynton 108-7 (Poynton won by three wickets) : Poynton won the derby in Division Two, reaching the target set by Bollington with three wickets in hand.

Bolly, relegated last year, have been finding the going tough and the defeat was their third straight, leaving them bottom of the table.

They mustered just 105 at the Recreation Ground on Saturday as the visitors’ Jimmy Williams took five wickets for just 26 runs.

Hafiz Imran top-scored with 25 while Williams received backing from Danny Williams (2-34), Richie Clark (2-26) and Damien Stringer (1-10).

Imran took five wickets in the Poynton reply, finishing with 5-43, but although only two batsmen – Paul Gould and James Longhorn – reached double figures.

Poynton struggled to the target to collect 25 points.
