Wilmslow Wayfarers narrowly lost to neighbours Wilmslow last weekend.

Wilmslow posted 188-9 with Dixon (51) and Meteller (32 not out) the main contributors.

For Wayfarers, the wickets were spread evenly with Joey Unsworth taking 3-61, Thomas Matthews (3-32) and Luke Unsworth (3-73).

In reply Wayfarers looked to be coasting to victory with good initial contributions of 40 from Matthews, 33 from Ron Seal and 39 from Joel Unsworth as the away team needed 47 with seven wickets remaining.

However, they lost all of those seven wickets in just five overs as Wilmslow grabbed an unlikely but deserved victory.

WAYFARERS' second XI won at home to Mossley after the away side posted an under-par total of 115.

Matt Ladd (2-18) and Matthew Bonner (2-15) impressed with the ball.

Wayfarers got off to a confident reply with Colin Miller (32) and Ladd (23) putting them ahead of the game.

Colin Henshall (15) ensured Wayfarers crossed the line as they won by four wickets.
