A much-changed Wilmslow CC side showed their strength in depth with an emphatic win over Rylands CC.

What hasn’t changed, however, is a dependence on the Rowe family.

A stand of 128 in less than 20 overs by Elliot (68) and Toby (72) was the catalyst around which their score of 268-6 was accrued in only 35 overs.

In the field and it was elder brother Tom who made the first breakthrough.

The returning Liam Aspinall took 5-23 and the game was won in the 17th over with Rylands 68 all out.

The second XI desperately need to find some runs as they were bowled out once again for fewer than 100, Rylands winning by five wickets.

The Development XI continue to impress, defeating Offerton CC in the league.

They did exceptionally well  in the field to restrict the visitors to 160 all out.

Imran Asraf (3-30) had the best bowling figures but there were also excellent contributions from Harry Newson and Jake Woodhouse.

MOM Woodhouse then hit 22 not out to see his team home with eight overs and six wickets to spare.

Chris Arnott (24) and Andy Metzelaar (49) had provided the base for victory.
