Bollington are still in with an outside chance of avoiding relegation.

Bolly’s place in the the Cheshire County League Division Two remains under threat but they have a chance of avoiding the drop after a six-wicket win over fellow relegation contenders Alvanley at The Recreation Ground.

Bolly bowled the visitors out for 166 thanks to terrific bowling from their pace trio of Mo Ali (4-35), Syed Khan (4-80) and HM Imran (2-28).

In reply by Bolly’s standards this season they cruised home for the loss of four wickets, Rick Hough continuing his own recent good form with an unbeaten 65.

Imran completed a good all-round day for him as he also hit 65.

Wicketkeeper Travis Salisbury scored 19 as he stayed alongside Hough to the end.

Bolly need to beat Davenham at home on Saturday and hope Alvanley get fewer than six points in their final fixture at home to Irby.
