Bollington's poor form this season shows no sign of ending as they suffered another defeat at home to Congleton.

Batting first the visitors compiled a par score of 227-9 from their 50 overs.

Tom Horsfield bowled superbly for Bolly, claiming 6-104 from his marathon 25-over spell and was backed up well by Stuart Plant, who took 2-62.

Yet again dropped catches cost Bolly several runs and allowed Congleton to get more than they should have.

In reply the Bolly innings stopped and started with good contributions from wicketkeeper Travis Salisbury (46), Wahab Aftab (41) and debutant Matt McGuinness (23) but nobody was able to go on and play the match-winning innings that Bolly so desperately needed as the home side were bowled out for 154 in the 41st over.

Bolly remain rooted to the foot of the Cheshire League Division? Two table and will hope to make up some ground when they make the long trek to Irby this Saturday.
