Wilmslow Wayfarers won their last game of the season against visitors Norbury.

Batting first, they declared on 208-9, largely thanks to an unbeaten century by Joey Unsworth, who carried his bat for 118 not out.

Robbie Hassard (21) and Daniel Wright (22) offered him fine support on a tricky wicket.

In response, Hassard was unlucky not to take a wicket in a fiery opening spell and Unsworth collected 4-19 to complete a fine all-round game for him, and Luke Unsworth claiming 3-56.

But the day belonged to Martyn Baldwin, who claimed 2-37, his two scalps seeing him past the 1,000-wickets mark for Wayfarers – a magnificent feat.

Norbury were bowled out for 164 as Wayfarers eased to victory to seal a creditable fourth in the league.
