Bollington completed their most successful season in the First Division with a five-wicket win over already relegated Cheadle at The Rec on Saturday.

Bowling first and dodging the heavy and persistant showers, Bolly restricted their vistors to a below-par 191-9 from a maximum 51 overs.

Mo Ali (3-23), Aldo Palazzo (3-47) and Toby Ward (2-10) were the pick of the Bolly attack.

Due to further rain Bolly only had 39 overs to reach their target which, in the end, they did with six overs to spare thanks to a fluent and season’s best knock of 69 from Tom Barrass ( pictured above ) and 52 from the impressive Calum Rowe.

Bolly end the season fourth in what has been a tough and competitive division on a club record 342 points.

Rowe broke the 1,000-run barrier on his way to 1,246 runs and was well supported by overseas player Tom Groth who accounted for 894 runs.

Tom Gower (808), Matt Dawson (452) and Ged McKernan 382 runs all supported well.

The Bowling honours were also shared around.

Mo Jahangir despite having an injury-hit end to the season finished with 56 wickets, Ali was as consistent as ever to bag 50 wickets.

They were both well supported by Aldo Palazzo and Stuart Plant who both took 32 wickets and Matt Dawson and Toby Ward who both took 17 wickets.
