A rock guitarist and his band are to appear on BBC2 tonight in a programme about the Houses of Parliament.

Adam Gibbons, 20, from the Weston estate, and his band Hex, pictured, played the Speakers State Rooms at the House of Commons last summer. It was after they were named the UK’s best young band in the Rock the House contest, a competition to raise awareness of copyright theft. Their appearance was captured as part of the Into The Commons TV series, which will be shown at 9pm tonight.

But don’t worry if you miss it, the show will be BBC iPlayer for a few weeks afterwards. Adam, a former student at Macclesfield College, has played the guitar for six years and is known for playing in metal band Institute of Broken Sound.
