Keen photographers made the most of pretty wintry scenes this week when a flurry of snow settled across Macclesfield.

A white blanket covered hills and streets yesterday (Wednesday) and Express readers wasted no time grabbing cameras to capture the snowy scenes and post them online.

Rangers from Tegg’s Nose Country Park posted pictures from the snowy hilltop and Marley Bissett took a picture in Langley from Cock Hall Lane looking towards Macclesfield Forest.

Also among the keen snappers who braved the cold to get some beautiful shots was Mark Beresford who captured footsteps in the snow at Parkroyal School, Jacqueline Latham View who snapped a shot from her home looking across to Buxton on the hills and Louise Anderson who took a picture of a tree in South Park.

Louise, of Maple Avenue, said: “I took it on the school run, just shows what you can see when you leave the car at home for a change.

“Macclesfield is a great place for taking pictures in the snow because there is everything from rooftops and street to trees and wide open countryside all a stones throw from your door.”
