A group of burly bikers wore pink with pride on a ride to raise money for breast cancer.

The motorcyclists from the Bitter and Twisted Motorcycle Club dressed in vibrant tutus and other accessories for the eye-catching ride to Chester in aid of Prevent Breast Cancer, formerly known as Genesis, that is based at the Nightingale Centre at Wythenshawe Hospital.

They met at the Nags Head pub on Waters Green which is where they meet each Sunday, but more bikers came out for the special fundraiser, paying £5 to take part.

It followed a week of the colour themed events for Paint Macc Pink at venues around Macclesfield.

Stuart Constable, event organiser, said: “It’s was really good turnout with between 50 and 60 riders.

“Last year Ian Bentley from Paint Macc Pink asked if we could arrange a ride out and raise money for this charity and we were happy to do it.

“There was scooters, motorcycles and even a few large trikes. The atmosphere was upbeat and jovial and there was a real sense of community.”

The group have around five of these ride-outs each year and raise money for various charities including East Cheshire Hospice.
