A blundering motorist took a wrong turn and got stuck on the steps of a church.
The small blue Toyota car ended up trapped outside Holy Trinity Church in Hurdsfield.
It appears the unknown motorist headed down the path leading to the church door and onto road, becoming stuck on the steps which led down to the pavement.
Images of the stranded car have been shared on Twitter.
Wendy Thomas, an administrator at the church’s office, said the incident had happened earlier this month and had caused ‘great embarrassment’ to the driver, who didn’t suffer any injuries.
