The theme for the 2016 festival is ‘Space’ with this in mind the Barnaby Festival, in association with ArtsSpace, is calling for 10,000 stars to be created to decorate the town during the parade.

Zak Lees, store manager, said: “As we are located in the heart of the town it seems fitting that we are also at the heart of our community.

“Our Star Craft Workshops are open to everyone, if you want to make your own star then be our guest and come down to the store to create your own star.”

The idea behind the 10,000 stars was to link in with the events in the fesxtival, particularly the ‘Astronomers story’ at La Lune.

Lynne Jones, from Barnaby, said: “Tesco have been a great help in engaging our local community and getting involved with the spirit of the festival.”
