This week’s Time-trip shines a spotlight on musical events in the mid-2000s, featuring pictures of school pupils performing, a strings workshop and a teen band.

Each week we publish a set of pictures taken by Macclesfield Express photographers which appeared in the paper in the 2000s.

They can be seen first on our website and are then reprinted in the paper.

This week we have shots of Macclesfield and Bollington Primary Schools Music Festival (right and below).

There is also a picture of a music school workshop at King’s School, Macclesfield (left). On the picture are, from left, Anna Cooper, Liz Jordan, Louise Latham, Anne Marie Fairhurst and Ian Haigh.

Finally, we have a snap of the band Fatal Distraction performing at All Hallows School in Macclesfield (above).

On vocals is John Smith, keyboards is Luke Conry, drums is Dave Grant and

guitars are, from left, Matt Hamlin, Tom Gaskell and Doug McCracken.

The pictures were all taken in the mid-2000s.

If you have any pictures you would like us to feature on this page, send them to us at communities@menmedia.co.uk or via the Facebook page.
