This week a cheese and wine evening, a running team in fancy dress and a karaoke event feature in our Time-trip column.

Each week we will publish a set of pictures taken by our photographers which appeared in the paper in the 2000s.

The pictures appear first on our website and are then reprinted in the paper.

This week our first picture shows a charity fun day at McDonalds Mill, Macclesfield, with staff having their legs waxed. From left, there is Luke Edge, John Bennett, Lisa Cooper from Nail and Beauty Clinic, Tytherington, and Steve Doorbar.

There are also shots of karaoke by Fallibroome School in aid of the tsunami appeal at the Swan with Two Necks, with landlady Wendy Smith (front) and customers Rick Ginghan, Shereeb Yates and Paul Whittaker, and a Macclesfield Eye Society cheese and wine evening at Rainow Church.

Finally, there is a photograph of the Macclesfield team, running for Christie’s in the Wilmslow Half Marathon in 2005, with, from left, Steve Piantoni, Rich Stevens, Paul Johnson, Richard Gilmartin and Tom Booth.

The photographs were all taken in the early 2000s.

If you have any pictures you would like us to feature in the column, please send them into us at communities@menmedia.co.uk or via the Macclesfield Express Facebook page.
