Macclesfield will officially have the X-Factor this summer when singing star Misha B comes to town.

The Express can exclusively reveal that Misha has signed up for Party on the Pitch – part of the weekend festival to celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.

Thousands of people are expected to descend on Macclesfield Town Football Club for the two-day event in June, backed by the Express.

While she may not have won the ITV talent show last December, 19-year-old Misha is planning big things this year.

She’s about to kick off the official X-Factor UK arena tour – starring several acts.

She will headline at the Manchester Arena on Saturday, followed by a whirlwind 14 venue run and after the last show in April she will prepare to take the stage at the Moss Rose.

Saturday, June 3, will be the main day of national celebrations to mark 60 years since Queen Elizabeth came to the throne.

In Macclesfield, revellers are expected to have picnics on the plush lawn of the Moss Rose and sing along to Proms classics such as Jerusalem and Rule Britannia.

On the Sunday, several acts including Misha B will perform throughout the day and into the evening. The 19-year-old, from Longsight in Manchester, will be joined by Abba tribute act Bjorn Again and
Seventies rockers 10cc.  Teenage singer Hatty Keane from Macclesfield, who won the UK Open Mic talent contest, will also step back into the limelight.

There will also be food and drinks stall and kids rides.

Proms on the Pitch tickets are £16 for adults and £10 for kids with a family ticket (two adults, two under 18s) at £40 for the day.

Tickets for Party on the Pitch cost £30 for adults and £10 for kids with a family ticket for £60. Weekend passes are also available for £40 adults and £15 kids with a family-of-four ticket for £95.
