A young mum racially abused a policeman when a boozy night turned sour.

Tyler Murray, 19, was on a rare night out when she got into a row with door staff at a town centre venue, a court heard.

Police were called and when they tried to restrain her she kicked out, hitting one officer in the jaw and another in the legs.

The mum of one again hit out when she was at the police custody suite in Middlewich.

At Macclesfield magistrates’ court, Murray, of Crompton Road, Macclesfield, admitted two charges of assaulting a police constable, assault and racially aggravated threatening or abusive words or behaviour.

She was fined £50 and given a curfew for two months preventing her from leaving her house from 8pm to 7am.

Murray must also pay the victims £25 each in compensation.

Simon Pover, prosecuting, told the court that police were called at 1.30am on August 7 to reports of a woman ‘causing issues’ outside a takeaway on Mill Street.

He said: “Door staff told police she was displaying aggression towards people. She was shouting about a previous incident. Police told her she had to wait but she tried to walk off.

“Officers then went to stop her and she began resisting. [One officer] ended up putting her on her back and another officer had to help restrain her.

“She was kicking out. The officers had to turn her onto her front to cuff her. She then kicked [one officer] in the face to the left of the jaw. Officers then tried to transfer her into a vehicle and she became abusive and was kicking out. She then shouted a racist term. (An officer] then got kicked to the legs.”

Mr Pover said the victim of Murray’s final assault was at Middlewich custody suite.

Sam Flixter, defending, said Murray had drank too much alcohol and didn’t remember parts of the evening.

He said: “She suffers from anxiety and drank for dutch courage, but it went a bit far. She was intoxicated which is something she doesn’t ordinarily do. When she was pinned down she kicked out at both of them. Thankfully she didn’t cause any injuries.”

Thomas Whittaker, probation officer, said Murray had dreamed of training as a mechanic but fell pregnant and had since suffered from post natal depression.
