Wilmslow's popular artisan market returns to the town this Saturday.

As well as dozens of diverse stalls selling the finest food, drink, art and craft, voluntary gardening group Incredible Edible will be promoting their plans for Wilmslow’s entry in Britain In Bloom.

Recycling campaigners ‘Love Food, Hate Waste’ will be promoting composting, and Wilmslow Prep School will be discussing their plans for the year.

The market will be running from 10am to 4pm.

The market was set up by Wilmslow Business Group members Denise Valente and Vicky Jackson, who are aiming to save the town’s ailing high street and bring a ‘diversity and ambiance’ that cannot be found in other shopping centres or out of town complexes.

Since it began in July the market has doubled in size from 60 stalls to 120 which adorn the pedestrianised Grove Street, accompanied by acoustic guitar performances and workshops for all the family to get involved in.
