A man was injured when a car overturned after crashing into a field.

Fire engines and police attended the incident, which happened on Saturday, July 30 in Macclesfield Forest on Buxton New Road in Macclesfield.

The 49-year-old man from Wilmslow was rescued from the vehicle by fire officers and then taken to Macclesfield hospital with minor injuries.

A Cheshire Police spokesperson said: “At 9.21pm on Saturday, July 30 police attended a report of an overturned car on Buxton New Road, in Macclesfield.

“The car had left the road and entered a field.

“The driver, a 49-year-old man from Wilmslow was taken to Macclesfield District General Hospital with minor injuries.”
