WONDERBOY Wayne Rooney has bought a house in Prestbury... so he can demolish it and build a £3½million dream home.

Football's most talented teenager plans to tear down a sprawling six-bedroom property on Candy's Field on Collar House Drive off Chelford Road in the exclusive village, and replace it with a purpose-built mansion complete with a wing for an au pair.

The demolition squad have already moved onto the plum site which is on a cul-de-sac and across the road from the local golf course.

Rooney, 18, scored a hat-trick in the Champions' League in his debut for Manchester United, after signing from cash-strapped Everton for £30m at the end of the summer.

His cousin Tommy Rooney signed for the Silkmen from Tranmere Rovers a few weeks before.

Now Wayne is following in the footsteps of United's millionaire stars and buying land in Cheshire. He plans to build a seven-bedroom home, complete with swimming pool and is expected to move in in about 12 months.

There will even be a room for an au pair in the new house, which means fiancee Coleen McLoughlin may be keeping her own secret.

The beautiful 18-year-old will be welcomed in the town's shops and boutiques, after reports she spent £10,000 during a shopping trip to New York.

And the courting couple will definitely know IT'S CHRISTMAS this year... Slade's Noddy Holder lives just three doors away!
