Children got stuck in to chocolate making sessions for charity.
Chocolatier Oliver Dunn from Oliver’s Chocolate Parties and Judy O’Brien at Mr Simms Olde Sweet Shoppe in Alderley Edge teamed up to run a fun chocolate pizza making workshop.
Forty-seven youngsters signed up to take part in the workshop which involved using a vat of melted chocolate to form a pizza shape before loading it up with sweet toppings and white chocolate shavings. Judy drafted in her daughter Lucy Osborne and Saturday worker Lauren Dickov to help out on the day.
Each child paid £5, raising £235 for the hospice.
Judy said: “The children came up with some fabulous designs for their pizzas and took them home to share with their families.
“Oli and I wanted to do an event together to raise money for charity so thought this was the ideal thing. We chose East Cheshire Hospice because it’s local and lots of families been in contact with someone who has benefitted from its services.
“Oli is a fantastic chocolate expert and fabulous with the children. They loved it and really got stuck in.”
Mr Simms hopes to run a gingerbread workshop in December.
