Festive firs decorated by schools, businesses and community groups will be on display at this year's Alderley Edge Christmas Tree Festival.

The annual event takes place at Alderley Edge Methodist Church and proceeds will go towards its appeal to raise a remaining £30,000 for spire repairs.

Groups around the village have been decorating trees for the weekend and there will be three concerts.

Judy Povey, from the church, said: “We hope to attract people from all around to this community event.”
