The artisan Market will host a special two-day Christmas extravaganza this weekend.

Organisers Denise Valente and Vicky Jackson have planned a winter wonderland for all the family – and there will also be a chance to help our charity collecting for toys for children.

Entertainment and surprises will include a giant snow globe, Father Christmas and his sleigh and Loose Change Buskers performing on Bank Square for Cancer Research UK.

More than 250 traders will attend with a different mix on each day. The market will go on until 8pm on Saturday to introduce a twilight event with roast chestnuts and Christmas treats. Celebrity guests Charlie Lawson and Simon Gregson from Coronation Street will run a stall from Prestbury Farm Shop.

Denise said: “The Street Food section on Bank Square will have an outstanding mix including Heddy’s restaurant and the King William providing tapas delights.

“All in all, an amazing weekend planned for Wilmslow – one not to be missed.”

  • There will  be a stall collecting new children’s toys in support of the Express BiG Storage Christmas Toy Appeal.
  • The Artisan Market is on Saturday, December 15 from 10am to 8pm and Sunday, December 16 from 10am to 4pm.
