THE media spotlight was very much on the bride as the woman who once groomed young ladies to snare wealthy suitors married a millionaire businessman of her own.

Gaynor Morgan, who more recently gained notoriety by claiming she had a fling with England football captain David Beckham, tied the knot with Jon Buckley at Mere Golf and Country Club, with the photos from the day destined to appear in the glossy OK magazine.

Gaynor, daughter of former Manchester United and Scotland star Willie Morgan, fell for Jon, an Alderley Edge entrepreneur, earlier this year while filming the Art of Seduction - a reality TV show for Sky.

Her programme brief had been to transform Accrington girl Rachel Clarke into the type of classy lassie that would leave posh bachelors drooling.

And Gaynor proved to be the right woman for the job when Jon decided she was also the right woman for him.

But did the presence of the paparazzi at the wedding spoil her big day?

"The photographers were very good," she said. "They did impose a little bit, but did their best not to.

"OK have set ideas on what pictures they want and they are not your typical wedding pictures, so it took more time - about a couple of hours.

"Hello wanted to cover it, but I went with the highest bidder. Although having the photographers there was nothing to do with money. It's an honour people like that want you in their magazine. And the kids are looking forward to seeing the pictures, it's a real buzz."

Gaynor said OK had paid a "five figure sum" for exclusively covering the star studded day.

It is to appear as a five page spread in the next few weeks.

Among the 500 guests were present and past Coronation Street stars like Bill Roache, Charles Lawson and Denise Welch, with her husband Tim Healy, star of Auf Wiedersehen, Pet.

And for the wedding car, the couple borrowed a friend's black Ferrari convertable.

To make the day even more special Gaynor, whose surname is now Morgan Buckley, had her 12 year-old son Alex as page boy.

And Jon, who founded fire warning system specialists Pyrogen, had his daughter Sam, 17, as one of Gaynor's bridesmaids.

Following their wedding, the couple left for honeymoon in the south of France.

They had known each other for several years, but after meeting during a night out in Wilmslow, Jon proposed six weeks later while they were in Marbella.

Gaynor said: "It was the party of the year and a magazine even described it as the Cheshire wedding of the year.

"I have since had approaches over a couple of TV things but I want to take some time out after getting married and pick and choose my work."

The wedding was shortly after Gaynor released her kiss and tell book 'David Beckham: An Intimate Biography'.

In it she claimed a saucy encounter between the two had taken place in a Manchester bar in 2001.

The book also describes what it is like growing up with a famous father.

And Gaynor says it should read as a cautionary tale to Becks as he and his ex-Spice Girl wife Victoria bring up their children in the public eye.
