TONIGHT Maxonians can enjoy the talents of local singer Helen England.

Classically trained performer Helen, 30, of Bond Street, is singing at Arighi Bianchi this evening (Thursday, December 17) to promote her first album, Maiden England.

She said: "I really enjoy doing it, I've been doing it to celebrate the winter and summer sales for about five years. "There's no stage, I walk around and everyone is sitting on all the suites, it's a really, really nice atmosphere."

The ex-All Hallows pupil added: "I would probably compare my style to Catherine Jenkins. "I'll be singing some of the songs from the album and a few more. It's a really festive album so it's the perfect time for it!"

And Helen, who is also a part time care assistant at Rossendale Hall, will also be donating £1 from the sale of every album to The Rossendale Trust and mental health charity Week 4 a Day. She can be heard from 7.30pm on the second floor of the Silk Road store.
