A family-run gym is hosting a powerlifting competition in aid of East Cheshire Hospice.
Fitness4All in Bollington, run by Chris Rowlands and his family, is hosting the competition with two teams competing to lift the most weight in squats, deadlifts and bench presses.
It's part of efforts at the gym to raise money for the hospice during October.
Rebecca Avgerinopoulou, from the gym, said: "The people taking part are every day gym goers who have never done a competition like this before."
It is part of our incentive to raise money for the hospice."
All October anyone can use the gym or do any of the classes for a donation to the East Cheshire Hospice, with a minimum donation of £5.
Members can also bring a friend for a £5 donation.
Chris Rowlands said: "My family own Fitness4All. I run the gym, my mum is a personal trainer and my sister is a fitness instructor here.
"In July my grandma had a stay in the hospice where unfortunately she passed away, so we decided to raise as much money as possible for the great work they do."
The competition is at Fitness 4 All, Adelphi Mill, Grimshaw Avenue, on Saturday.
