Red Nose Day brought colour into Macclesfield with schools and businesses turning Friday into fun-day.

There were elephant-sized red ears and jumbo noses like tomatoes, matching many people's attire - and even hair! Staff and pupils arrived at schools and work with comedy in mind.

Wilsons Hairdressers dressed as pirates and policewomen to shock passers-by.

A new internet game created by a Bollington company soared to number one in the charts.

Businesses tasted treats from Total People Training, while Upton Priory Infants became budding masterchefs.

Puss Bank Primary comedians took centre stage during an assembly. And cycling 300 miles on the spot was the target of Carl Porter at JJB Fitness Centre. While other schools joined in to bring in the cash.

All in all, Macclesfield made Red Nose Day a day of laughter and fun, while raising money for the cause.
