A local music star is to return to her hometown to headline a huge music festival.

Former All Hallows pupil Hatty Keane is currently one of the country's most exciting musical prospects, having already supported the likes of Ed Sheeran and Wretch 32.

And she will be returning to Macclesfield to play at the hugely successful Loominus Festival on September 7.

Also confirmed on the bill is Manchester based Rap artist, Blizzard who has already had  over 1 million hits on You Tube.

He will be joined by pop heartthrob Connor Harris  who has already played on the same bill as  Professor Green, Chipmunk and Misha B.

Macclesfield stars Rough Twist , who have a huge local following, have also been pencilled in to perform for the second year running.

The festival, the brainchild of a group of local young music promoters, made it's debut last year in front of thousands of people in Market Square and was headlined by dance group Booty Luv.

It combined other top music acts with skating arenas and a range of arts activities.

And after announcing this year's line-up organiser Dane Swindells said: “Loominus isn't just about the music, we are excited to be working with a group of local skate companies and clothing brands to
bring a far better experience than last year.

“Due to the location of the festival last year we were very limited to what skate activities we could have going on at the event. However, no corners are being cut this year as we organise the skate area, featuring competitions and tournaments where you can bag yourself cash prizes, sponsorship, clothes, boards and all that jazz!

“We are also excited to be working with the local schools and colleges in the area involving young people with opportunities to try out event management, sound engineering, designing, promoting and much more.

“We will be having a whole section at the festival this year focused on arts, from football freestyle to dancing, we will have it covered.”

The location for this year's event is to be announced in due course.

However, organisers are accepting applications from local businesses or individuals that would like to trade at Loominus.
