A gang of masked raiders targeted a Mobberley convenience store last night (Wednesday, March 9).

Four unarmed men burst into the Co-Op, on Town Lane, at 10.20pm and instructed workers to sit on the floor while they stole a large amount of cigarettes and spirits.

The culprits then fled in the direction of Wilmslow.

No one was injured in the robbery.

Officers say they are keen to speak to any witnesses or anyone who might have information about the raid.

A police spokesman said: "The men concealed their faces with balaclavas and snoods. The four men left the scene in a vehicle, possibly a Renault, which is believed to have been parked on the car park of the florist shop next door and drove off in the general direction of Wilmslow."
