A 19-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of drug driving after a car hit a brick wall near Hibel Road roundabout on Sunday night.
The driver and his 19-year-old passenger are not believed to have been injured.
A Cheshire Police spokesperson said: “Police were called at 7.21pm on Sunday to attend the scene of a one vehicle collision by the Hibel Road roundabout near Tesco.
“The vehicle involved was heading in the Macclesfield to Bollington direction at the time.
“The vehicle, a silver Renault Clio, spun on the road. The vehicle then came to a stop near an electrical box.
“During the collision a brick wall and a streetlamp were damaged.
“No other vehicles were involved in the collision.”
A 19-year-old man from Macclesfield has been arrested on suspicion of drug driving. He has been released on bail until June 6.
