An out-of-luck landlord is appealing for the return of an A-board stolen from outside his pub.

The advertising board worth £100 was taken from the front of The Queen’s Arms on Leek Road in Bosley on Saturday night.

The colourful display was illustrated by the disabled daughter of landlords Colin and Gwyneth Jones, who have run the pub for almost 25 years.

The couple are now appealing for whoever took the board to do the right thing and return it ‘no questions asked’.

It’s another blow for the Jones’s who are still reeling from a break-in at the pub three weeks ago where thieves got away with a collection of tools Colin had spent his life building up and large speakers used for events at the pub.

Colin, 63, said: “We’ve had a rough run of luck. I’ve been quite poorly over the last five months, then we had the break in and now this.

“My daughter Kerry-Louise, who is in a wheelchair because of a back condition, painted the advert for us and we really liked it.

“If anyone sees it please let us know. There will be no questions asked for the safe return of the board.”
