A Halloween reveller was banned from getting into a nightclub - because of his gory make-up.

Andy Stott, 47, spent almost an hour creating a bloody wound using layers of latex, fake blood and a piece of flexible plastic.

But Andy was shocked when he arrived at Fever & Boutique on Pickford Street on Saturday night only to be refused entry because his bloody ‘wound’ was ‘too dangerous’.

Andy, who lives in Tytherington and works at AstraZeneca, said he hadn’t expected his make-up job to be so effective.

He said: “It was just a piece of plastic which was quite flexible but looks real.

“I built up the layers of latex, used foundation then blood gel over the top.

“This was my first attempt at doing it and just watched a couple of You Tube videos first.

“The Fever bouncer just wouldn’t let us in because of the make up.

“They thought it was actually in my skin. It was quite funny, not a problem, and we went on to have an awesome night.”

Matthew Taylor, general manager at Fever, said: “Ultimately it was a health and safety issue.

“He had a thick piece of sharp plastic which was too dangerous.”
