What is it?

Rewind – a celebration of music from the 80s and 90s - comes to the North of England for the second consecutive year. Headliners include Human League and OMD, Kim Wilde, Belinda Carlisle, The Boomtown Rats, Jimmy Somerville, Howard Jones, Bananarama, Soul II Soul, Chesney Hawkes, M People singer Heather Small and St Elmo’s Fire singer John Parr.

Where Is It?

Rewind North returns to Capesthorne Hall, Siddington, situated between Maccesfield and Wilmslow.

When is it?

The festival is held over three days, starting with a Friday welcome party on August 7 and performances on Saturday, August 8 and Sunday, August 9. Performances start between 1.30pm and 2pm each day.

If you have a weekend ticket the party opens from 6pm on Friday with a silent disco, a performance by New York Brass Band, a funfair and theme bars. And Best Days Of Our Lives hitmakers Modern Romance will take to the stage in the Big Top.

Who’s performing?

On Saturday you can see Human League, Soul II Soul, Kim Wilde, Belinda Carlisle, Howard Jones, Jimmy Somerville, Steve Augeri, Wang Chung, Chesney Hawkes, The Sugarhill Gang, The South, Katrina (ex Katrina and the Waves).

Performing on Sunday are OMD, The Boomtown Rats, Bananarama, ABC, The Selecter, Heather Small, Kid Creole, Imagination featuring Leee John, Dave Edmunds, Hue and Cry, Dr and the Medics and John Parr.

Camping and Glamping

If you’re staying for the weekend there is a campsite is situated in the Capesthorne Hall grounds with showers and toilets throughout. The campsite opens at 2pm on Friday and closes at midday on Monday. The last entry if you are arriving on the Friday is 10pm.

If the thought of putting up your own tent fills you with dread, you can book a pre-pitched tent or tipi. And For those afraid of festival toilets you can pre-book a wristband for access to a Loo Lounge which is cleaned after every use and has warm running water. There is also a dedicated field for campervans and motorhomes at £80, or £160 for vehicles over 6m.

Food

Food outlets over the weekend include Barnaby Skyke’s pies, Dinky Donuts, Jumping Bean burritos, Kitch chargrill serving burgers, hotdogs, chilli and cheese fries, La Cafe Crepe serving noodles and crepes, Mac Shack serving macaroni and cheese, the Market Street chippy, The Med Kitchen, Panda Express serving traditional Chinese dishes, Smokin’ Bones barbecue and a pizza bar. There is also a breakfast village in the campsite.

Drink

The Big Top Bar offers waitress service while you listen to live music, the Black Bull Inn serves real ales, ciders and international wines and there’s a cocktails and karaoke bar to warm up your vocal chords for the performances.

Tickets

A weekend camping and festival ticket for adults costs £122.50 and £61.25 for children aged 12 and under. A weekend ticket excluding camping costs £105 and £52.50 for children.
