Residents are being asked to vote for candidates to represent their communities on Cheshire East council.

There are 78 candidates hoping to take 23 councillor seats in 15 wards across the old Macclesfield borough.

They will join councillors representing areas across the rest of Cheshire East, which was formed as a unitary council in 2009 when Cheshire County Council was abolished and Congleton, Crewe, Nantwich and Macclesfield borough councils were amalgamated.
