Farmers are being warned after men were spotted photographing farm equipment.

The two men were seen climbing up a wall at a farm on Bull Hill Lane, Rainow, at about 7pm on Wednesday, September 9.

They took pictures of tractors, trailers and machinery before driving off in a 56 plate Mini Cooper.

PC Lesley Long is advising farmers to be vigilant and ensure your property is as secure as possible and vehicles are not easily spotted.

She said: “At approximately 7pm on Wednesday 9th September 2016 two white males were seen climbing up a wall at a farm on Bull Hill Lane in Rainow and they were seen to be taking photographs of the tractors/trailers and machinery.

“Please remain vigilant and secure your property and if possible park vehicles in front of the farm gates and secure them as much as possible.

“Please ring 101 if you observe any suspicious activity and ring 999 if you see a crime in progress.”
