AN exhibition will show plans to redevelop Alderley Park with new science facilities and homes.

Alderley Park has been home to pharmaceutical giant AstraZeneca but with the firm moving most of its operation out of the site its new owners have been making plans to redevelop it as a park for other life science businesses.

They are putting together a planning application which will include new homes and recreational and sporting facilities.

Manchester Science Partnership, which owns the site, is holding a public consultation, with a public exhibition on Wednesday, October 21 in the Conference Centre between 2pm and 7.30pm.

Rowena Burns, chief executive officer, said: “There is a deep bond between the community and science campus at Alderley Park. As AstraZeneca vacates we will adapt the facilities to the needs of the bioscience businesses who will deliver the next generation of medicines and treatments.”

Anyone unable to attend the exhibition can visit alderleyparkconsultation.co.uk and contact the development team on 0800 996 1612.
