This year’s Langley Fete will take place on Sunday, June 30, with a fantastic afternoon of fun and entertainment for the whole family.

As usual the huge event will be held at Langley Playing Fields behind the Main Road, with children’s races, stalls, a duck race and the popular Fell Race all taking place throughout the afternoon.

There will also be a whole host of classic cars on display, a fantastic selection of real ales from the beer tent and a bbq.

And the ever popular pet show will be held again this year with dogs, cats and small animals welcome to strut their stuff in front of the judges.

Tony Quinn, one of the organisers, said: “It’s always very, very popular.

“Last year we had over a thousand come along. It’s going to include all the usual events, the childrens’ races and the pet show are always very popular – and the beer tent.”

The profits from the day go towards the Village Hall, which is community funded, and the annual children and OAP Christmas parties.
