IT should have been her biggest day but the bride's wedding cake was made out of polystyrene, the vicar was nowhere to be seen and only a handful of guests turned up.

But nevertheless, stunning Clare Riley's wedding day was double the fun, because within the space of six months the 25-year-old has walked down the aisle twice... and with the same man.

This was no ordinary wedding. Clare and husband Jon were simply modelling for a new Tytherington Club wedding package catalogue.

Clare's sister Holly Lomas, 25, is the front of house manager at the Tytherington Club and needed a snappy couple to pose for the 'Your Complete Wedding Day' brochure, and she knew just the pair.

Holly said: "We are aiming at a young market and both Jon and Clare fitted the bill so we held another wedding day for them, but this time we didn't invite any guests."

A specialist photographer was brought in but Clare's mum Moyer popped along with her own camera to take any snaps she may have missed on the 'other' big day at St Peter's Church in Prestbury.

Holly added: "My mother kept taking photographs of Clare and Jon but her flash was interfering with the photographer's work, I don't think that he was too happy about that.

"The only other guests were the dressmakers, the caterers and the photographers, everyone who was walking past must have thought that we were a bit strange."

Blushing bride Clare, who is a unit manager for Kids Unlimited, wore her own dress for the photo shoot but Jon's suit didn't fit in with the colour scheme so he was given a new waistcoat.

Clare said: "I was delighted when Holly asked me to take part in the preparation for the new package. Especially because I had the chance to wear my dress again.

"The suite looked fantastic and you never know, I may even make use of the function room again - perhaps it will be for a christening."

The three-tier elaborate wedding cake may have looked stunning but it was definitely not edible, it was made entirely out of polystyrene for use as a prop.

The Tytherington Club now hold a civil ceremony licence which means that the entire wedding can now be held on site at the club. The wedding package includes flower arrangements, food and drinks, a photographer, suit hire for the Groom and the Best Man, wedding stationery and a toast master.

Holly would like to thank everyone who helped make the day a success including: Peter Fletcher Photography; The Wild Bunch; Edible Arts and Eventures.
