Community groups, friends and families are brewing up a load of cash for Macmillan with coffee morning events this weekend.

There are events around Wilmslow as part of Macmillan’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning for cancer care.

Visitors can enjoy coffee and cakes tomorrow (Friday) at James Maguire and Co family law solicitors in Blackbox, Beech Lane, from 11am, and there is another event at Anchor Court, Lacey Green, at 10.30am.

Staff at 52 Alderley Road Diagnostic and Surgical Centre will host their coffee morning from 10am to noon and offer visitors the chance to register for a free health check and enter a raffle.

The Weight Watchers group at St Benedicts Church in Handforth will host its Macmillan event at its meeting from 9am with proceeds going to the charity.

Reflexologist Gabby Lamplugh is running an event at The Rifleman’s Pub, Moor Lane from 10.30am to noon and anyone is welcome to attend.

Spath Lane Residents Association is getting ready for its big coffee morning at Wilmslow View, Henbury Road, Handforth, from 9am to 1pm.

Then there is a coffee afternoon at Morley Green Club, Mobberley Road, on Sunday, September 28, from 2pm to 4.30pm.
