Tesco campaigners, councillors, traders and residents joined a public debate on plans for a Tesco superstore.
More than 210 people attended the meeting at St Michael's Church to have their say on plans for a Tesco Extra store at Barracks Mill to replace the existing Hibel Road store.
MP David Rutley spoke and was joined by Keith Smith, chairman of Macclesfield Civic Society, David Gooda from Macc 2020 and Granville Sellars, who runs a community website.
