Some time ago I was walking my dogs around Teggs Nose Reservoir when I spotted my vicar, Taffy Davies, sneaking around the car park waving a video camera. To my horror he was filming a lady in pink high-heels with legs like Bernard Manning.

Next time Taffy’s leering at me from the pages of the Express modelling a frock. As it turns out it was all in a good cause as the audience of last year’s Sutton on Stage discovered when footage of Taffy Davies’s hilarious spoof video was shown. I love the man dearly…but he is bonkers.

On Saturday and Sunday March 22 and 23 you will have another chance to see what Taffy’s been up to plus a dozen more acts. There’s a brilliant young magician and a guy who sings so much like Michael Buble you won’t know the difference. If you like Stomp you’ll love the Kontaani Drummers.

Bring your hanky with you as you’ll cry laughing at some of the none-too-politically correct sketches.

I’ll be there to fill the gaps (nothing’s perfect). It’s £9 per ticket and it all goes to charity (scouts). There’s a well-stocked bar and table service so you won’t miss any of the show which is at the new scout hut in Sutton (more of a theatre than a ‘hut’).

You can order tickets online at: suttononstage.webs.com or by calling Sue on 01260-252428 (Mon-Friday 6-9pm). Break a leg!
