Welcome again to our Time-trip column.
Each week we will publish a set of pictures taken by our photographers which appeared in the paper in the 2000s.
The pictures appear first on our website and are then reprinted in the paper.
This week our pictures show the launch of mayor’s youth initiative for Macclesfield, as the mayor helps fill the pond at Marlborough Primary School, and Macclesfield ABC boxers.
There is also a shot of Honford Hall, Handforth, over-60s coffee morning, with, from left, chairman Eileen Connell, mayoress of Macclesfield Mary Edwards, mayor Coun Norman Edwards, and helpers Flo Kerr and Flo Jones.
Finally, we have a picture of a Macclesfield Flower Club demonstration by Tracey Neil (centre), with Margaret Ridgeway, vice chairman (left) and Veda Royle, chairman (right).
