Recent cases heard at South and East Cheshire magistrates’ court:

  • Dean Roberts, 47, of Garden Street, Macclesfield, admitted handling stolen goods. He was given a curfew for three months and ordered to pay compensation of £300.
  • Amy Suzanne Stewart, 33, of Bucklow Walk, Macclesfield, admitted being drunk in charge of a child. She was sentenced to 21 days in prison suspended for 12 months.
  • Daniel James Thorley, 30, Allen Street, Macclesfield, admitted drink driving. He was ordered to carry out 80 hours unpaid work.
  • Kieran Michael Rae, 21, of Cundliffe Close, Macclesfield, admitted criminal damage and possession of cannabis. He was ordered to complete 60 hours unpaid work. He was also given a restraining order banning him from contacting the victim and entering Abbey Road, Macclesfield.
  • Joanne Louise Smith, 29, of Nelson Street, Macclesfield, admitted shoplifting and breaching a community order. She was sentenced to 12 weeks in prison and was ordered to pay £41.32 compensation to Tesco.
  • Simon Andrew Tallen, 30, of Briarwood Avenue, Macclesfield, admitted shoplifting. He was fined £175.
  • Kimberley Avery, 32, of Fowler Street, Macclesfield, admitted racially aggravated assault on Muguamy Abas and a public order offence. She was ordered to do 160 hours unpaid work and paid £100 compensation.
  • Wesley Iain Dixon, 27, of Peel Street, Macclesfield, admitted being drunk and disorderly, assaulting a police officer and resisting arrest. He was ordered to complete 80 hours unpaid work and pay £75 compensation.
