An investigation is underway after reports of young people becoming unwell outside Macclesfield Station.

Police were called out to the station on Friday night (September 30) after reports that two girls were unwell on the floor.

A police spokesman said that when officers arrived the girls had run off but another male who was unwell was taken to Macclesfield Hospital.

A spokesman for North West Ambulance Service said: “An ambulance attended at 8.14pm after we received reports from the police that two girls had been spiked and were unwell outside Macclesfield Station.”

A police investigation into the incident is currently ongoing.
