A gang of masked robbers attacked a man in broad daylight.
The three offenders assaulted a victim on a footpath between Black Lane and Middlewood Way, Macclesfield, at 3.10pm yesterday, (July 27).
The victim was seen to arrive in a taxi shortly before the attack.
He is understood to have suffered minor injuries but left the scene before police arrived.
Two members of the public called the police.
The robbers are described as white and in their late teens to early twenties.
At the time of the incident they were all wearing shorts and T-shirts, along with flat caps and black scarves covering their faces.
The victim was white and around 19 years old.
Police cordoned off the the area for several hours during their investigation.
Officers are now appealing for the victim and any witnesses to come forward by calling 101 quoting incident number 568 of 27/7/16. Information can also be reported anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
